In 1998, a dedicated group of local people called the Aurora Conservation Council volunteered their efforts to create a nature center for the community. This small group has grown but still needs YOUR help to keep the center open and active. Below are some ways YOU can help!
Join a committee:
Finance/Fundraising/Membership — activities may include contacting potential donors or members, finding corporate sponsors, assisting with fundraising events such as our annual golf outing.
Programming — activities may include helping to plan, arrange and confirm future programs at the nature center as well as setting up and staffing these events.
Marketing/Communications — activities may include creating flyers or ads, distributing information and flyers, arranging signage, contacting reporters, writing for the newsletter or website and more.
Facilities — activities may include planting, watering and maintaining the flower beds, fixing, installing or building small projects, painting, and other similar jobs.
